DMC – DIGITAL MESSAGE CENTRE

Why the DMC? Simple – the Australian Made DMC Digital Message Centre has been Australia’s best selling On Hold player since 1999, establishing a reputation for excellent performance and extreme reliability.

For 2013, we are supplying a 3rd Generation DMC device, with a number of completely unique options that have been specifically developed for today’s market.

SD Card

All of our DMC Models utilise our well proven MP3 engine and a High Quality Amplifier to provide the ideal solution for Message On Hold applications. All Models use a conventional SD Flash Card to store the MP3 based Message on Hold production that you will use. A 2GB SD Flash Card is supplied with each unit, allowing for up to 2000 Minutes of Message at the normally used 128kbps sampling rate (near CD quality), or up to 800 Minutes of Message at the highest 320kbps sampling rate (Broadcast quality).

If more than 1 MP3 based Message file is stored on the SD Falsh Card, then DMC will play each of these file sequentially before returning to the first file once the last file has played. There is NO discernable gap between Messages.

One new feature for 2012 is the ability to use ‘optional’ built in High Reliability Flash Memory to store your MP3 based Messages, instead of playing from the SD Flash Card. The benefit of this alternative system is improved long term reliability and the ability to continue playing a Message should the SD Flash Card be intentionally or unintentionally removed. With this ‘option’, the internal memory is automatically loaded as soon as an SD Flash Card is inserted into its SD card socket. DMC will use the internal memory to play its message and the SD Flash Card can then be removed or left in place. This new feature is designed to further improve the long term reliability of your Message On Hold solution!

We have also introduced a new ‘optional’ MESSAGE CHANGE SWITCH. This switch is designed to allow the User to automatically change the Message which DMC is playing. With this ‘option’ Multiple Messages can be loaded onto the SD Flash Card and DMC will play the First Message as soon as power is applied. The User can then press the Switch when required and it will instruct DMC to play the Second Message only. Each additional press will command DMC to select and play the Next message and when the last message is selected, the next press will instruct DMC to play the first message again. The Message Change Switch is recessed so that it cannot be accidentally pressed.
